There are a lot of different shapes and styles of candles.
Most of the candles that have a shape are pillar candles. These are candles that are placed on a candle plate on a flat surface away from anything that can catch fire such as paper, curtains, flowers or any cloth.
Some of the shapes of candles are round, square, octagon, pyramid and diamond. Even these shapes can have different styles.
Round, square and octagon shaped candles can have either a flat top or a concave top (which is a sunken top). Most candles have the flat top instead of the concave top. In addition to having a concave top as a style, these candles can also have scalloped edges giving the candle a look of bamboo.
Pyramid and diamond shaped candles usually have straight corners. You can find some that have a more rounded corner, but these are not as common.
Another style of candle is the container candle. These are candles that are in jars, times or other types of containers. These containers have lids that can be used to extinguish the candle. These containers can come in various looks. You can have a clear glass container where you can see the color of the candle or a tin candle that can have a design on the tin. The tins are usually customized toward a season such as Christmas or Halloween.
There are container candles that are in various types of glass such as wine glasses, champagne glasses, coffee glasses or a variety of other types of glasses. These glasses can also be reused after all the wax has come out of the glass.
Another style of candle is the votive. These candles are smaller, usually 2-3 inches tall. They can either be a pillar candle or in a container. Even the votive candles can have different shapes. They can have flat tops, rounded tops, triangle top or a top with some kind of design. They can also be cupcakes, pumpkins, ghosts, leaves, flowers, etc. You can get just about any shape of a candle you want. Just ask the person making the candle if they can make a specific shape.

New candles listed
Since the last time I posted anything, I have listed some new candles at my shop. I have listed some lavender rose scented candles. This candle has a strong lavender and rose scent. Very nice, sweet and relaxing.
I have added some lemon citronella eucalyptus scented candles. The citronella and eucalyptus are known bug repellents.
I have even added a variety of tarts/melts. These are very highly scented also.
These tarts/melts are lilac and carnation scented. They are very strong, sassy and sweet. Your house will fill with these great scents.
If you don't like flowery scented tarts/melts, what about peanut butter?
I even have peppermint scented tarts/melts. This is a very unique scent. It is a nice refreshing scent also.
I also have whipped topping candles. The top of these candles have whipped wax with a cinnamon scent. The bottom part of the candle is a nice yellow with a strong lemon scent. Almost like fresh backed lemon cupcakes.
Check out some of the other new items in my artfire shop. You won't be disappointed.

These peanut butter tarts are very strong. They smell just like when you first open a jar of peanut butter. The color is a tan/light tan color. Now you can have all the peanut butter you want without the calories.

Citronella candles
I just made some citronella candles. They are in the molds and are cooling down. They should be ready to remove from the molds tomorrow. These candles are actually a combination of lemon, citronella and eucalyptus scents. The citronella and eucalyptus scents are good at repelling bugs/mosquitoes. I added the lemon to balance out the citronella scent. The citronella scent is a very strong scent. To make these candles, I combined orange and black together. I wanted to have the black color to attract the bugs/mosquitoes and the orange to try to soften the black a little, but keep the dark color.
I have done some researching and mosquitoes are attracted to dark colors and that is probably the main reason for the dark color. Instead of the mosquitoes attacking people, they will be attracted to the dark color of the candle.
These candles come in round, square and octagon shapes. They would be good to have on hand during the coming summer months.

New candles coming
I am trying to get a few new candles ready for Christmas and listed. I have some already listed, but there are some more coming. Some of the scents that are coming are mistletoe, Christmas tree, blue spruce and some more Christmas Hearth.
I am also planning on listing some more candles besides Christmas scents. These candles wold be great gifts and could be used all year. Scents I am thinking of include cinnamon, lavender vanilla, peach, coffee, vanilla coffee and even some candles that look like a coffee with whipped topping. This would not be in a mug, just a pillar candle with a coffee scent and whipped topping on the top. I have made a few of these in the past. They look very close to a cup of latte with the cream on top. The scent has been very good on these candles also.
