With summer here, people will be opening their windows to let in some fresh air and the lovely scents of summer. There will be the sweet aroma of freshly bloomed flowers, the smell of fresh cut grass, the clean fresh air and the tasty aroma of people grilling.
Not only will you get these great scents, you will also get exhaust fumes, insecticides, fertilizer and a variety of other scents that are very well liked.
How do you keep these aromas out and the fresh floral scents of summer? It's easy. Please a few great scented candles around the house. This will help with any unpleasant odor or freshen up the house.
If you like floral scents, honeysuckle, rose, lilac and lavender are just a few of the summery floral scents. You will get the same great aromas from these beautiful candles as the flowers from outside. With any of these scents, you will be able to bring the outdoor scents indoor without the bugs.
Don't want any floral scents? There are food scents such as fresh coffee, red velvet cake, pumpkin pie and chocolate, just to name a few of the yummier flavors. Each of these scents will fill your house and people will thing you just made a fresh brewed pot of coffee, a freshly baked red velvet cake, a spicy pumpkin pie or had some chocolate.
There are also some great fruity scents associated with summer as well. There's the clean, fresh aroma of lemon, the citrusy scent of a fresh picked orange, the sweet juicy scent of a peach and the tropical aroma of kiwi.
You also cannot forget the scents for outdoor living. Probably the most famous or well known is citronella, which is known to help keep mosquitoes away. Other little known bug repellants are eucalyptus and lemon. If you like spending time outdoors, these fragrances will help in reducing the amount of bugs that bug you.
Any of these scents can be combined with any scent. You can either have a candle that has multiple layers, each with a different scent or a candle that has a combination of scents together. Now is the time to get creative with the scents you want in your house. Find what you like and keep some handy. Not only will they give your house the freshness of summer, but they will also add to your decor.

New tart molds
A few days ago, I purchased some more tart/melt molds. One mold was of pumpkins, which would be good for Halloween or Thanksgiving. I am thinking of making a few pumpkin tarts and seeing how they turn out. I think they will look gorgeous and of course the scent will be strong like in my other tarts and candles. I'm a little excited and anxious to make these.
The next mold I got was of skulls. I know, this is really a Halloween mold and it's no longer Halloween. These would be great for next year though. It will also give me time to think of something really original to do with them.
Another mold I got was of fingers and bones. One idea I had for this for next year was to somehow make the finger have "blood" dripping down it like you see in the stores around Halloween for some of the decorations. This may be something really interesting.
The last mold I purchased was of roses. This is to replace one of my molds that met an unfortunate accident. A very strong rose scent is destined for these beautiful rose tarts/melts. Since I have a few different rose scents and rose mixtures, I don't know which one it will be yet.

New candles listed
Since the last time I posted anything, I have listed some new candles at my shop. I have listed some lavender rose scented candles. This candle has a strong lavender and rose scent. Very nice, sweet and relaxing.
I have added some lemon citronella eucalyptus scented candles. The citronella and eucalyptus are known bug repellents.
I have even added a variety of tarts/melts. These are very highly scented also.
These tarts/melts are lilac and carnation scented. They are very strong, sassy and sweet. Your house will fill with these great scents.
If you don't like flowery scented tarts/melts, what about peanut butter?
I even have peppermint scented tarts/melts. This is a very unique scent. It is a nice refreshing scent also.
I also have whipped topping candles. The top of these candles have whipped wax with a cinnamon scent. The bottom part of the candle is a nice yellow with a strong lemon scent. Almost like fresh backed lemon cupcakes.
Check out some of the other new items in my artfire shop. You won't be disappointed.

These peanut butter tarts are very strong. They smell just like when you first open a jar of peanut butter. The color is a tan/light tan color. Now you can have all the peanut butter you want without the calories.

Flowers
This post is a place to post anything flowery. It can have a flower scent, a flower picture, a flower shape. Anything that is flower related.
Flowers brighten up the world and make spring come alive. I know there is a long time before spring, but with the cold weather and snow many of us have been having, this would be something nice and bright for those cold and snowy days. It will give everyone something to look forward to. SPRING!!!

Items need a home
I have some items that I have listed on my artfire studio that need a new home. They are getting tired of the scenery of my house and want to see what else is available in the world. They are very nice candles. They will be a great addition to any home and will fill your home full of a nice refreshing scent. The candles will also add some color to any room.
I have rose scented candles that would be great in a bathroom while you are relaxing in the tub. What a nice mood. What more can you ask for besides having some rose petals floating in the tub.
Don't forget the lavender scented candles. Lavender is a nice scent for relaxation. It can have a calming affect.
Check out the candles at my artfire shop. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
