Artfire Artists

If you have never checked out artfire, you really need to check it out.  There are so many great artists there.  Everything by these artists are handmade.  They have great quality and design.

Cardsbylibe and Gingers-Garden are featured today.   Cardsbylibe makes great handmade cards for any occasion.   Gingers-Garden makes amazing handmade soap, shampoo, lotion, and other bath luxuries.

With Mother's day coming up, Cardsbylibe would be the place to stop by and pick up a card for your mom.  These cards are handmade and absolutely beautiful.   

Wouldn't your mother love to get a beautiful handmade card that is unique and nobody else would have?  This Cardsbylibe card would be the perfect card for her.  Just look at the beautiful colors on this card.  

Do you need to have some blank cards for any occasion?  Cardsbylibe has some of those too.  

Here is a blank card with embossed roses with purple and white color.  This card could just say hi or hello to someone you haven't heard from in awhile.  What better way to reconnect to someone?  Send a handmade card instead of a generic email.

Artfire Artists

I have started creating these blogs for some of the shops on artfire.  I try to have similar shops together.  Today the shops being featured are carolesjackets and UniquelyJenQuiltCreations.  Both shops make great products that will keep you warm on cold days.

Carolesjackets makes beautiful embroidered jackets. They can be worn at any time and with anything.  

Here is a basic yet classy black jacket.

It has a nice colorful flower design at the bottom of this jacket.  The flowers stand out and give this jacket a touch of spring.  If you are a little chilly on a spring day or night, this jacket would be something to keep you warm, but not overly warm.  You will also get some comments about the beauty of this jacket.


















Do you want some pink?  Here is a light pastel pink jacket.  

This pastel pink jacket has some very nice iris flowers on both sides of the top of the jacket.  This jacket is a light color pink that will look great with a pair of jeans.  You could probably even wear it as a shirt.

Artfire Jewelry Artists Part2

I tried writing this a few minutes ago, but my computer decided it didn't want to work and locked up on me.  Now I get to start from scratch.  I really need to get a new computer.

Since my last blog post about the wonderful jewelry artists on artfire, some people have asked if I could feature them on my blog.  Today, the artists are Metal_Artistry, DesertCreations and DianesDangles.   Each of these jewelry designers have beautiful pieces of jewelry.

Metal_Artistry makes wonderful jewelry out of metal.  The metal is shaped into some of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry you can imagine.  

The first piece is a mixed metal landscape pendant that features mountains, moon, snow and river.  When you look at this pendant, you can see the full moon shining down over the snow capped mountains and the river.  

Absolutely beautiful.  A perfect picture of nature for the perfect necklace.












Do you like rings?  Do you like sterling silver?  If so, this ring is for you.  This ring is made of sterling silver and has a mountain range forged on it.  Every time you look at this ring, you will feel as  though you are in the mountains.

Just look at how beautiful this ring is.  Very shiny and eloquent.  Bet you can't resist.














DesertCreations makes amazing jewelry using polymer clay, beads and wire.  I'm sure there is something for you.  Take a look.

This is one of the many pieces of handmade jewelry DesertCreations made.  It is a pair of copper glass on copper earring wires.  Aren't these earrings great?   These could be worn for any occasion.

Look at these earrings.  There are 3 different shades of copper.  The copper from the wires are a bright copper, the first bead is a little lighter color of copper and the last bead is a dark copper.  














Do you have a sweet tooth?  Take a look at this bracelet.  Nothing but sweet items.  What fun this bracelet is.

Artfire Jewelry Artists

I have made several references to my shop on artfire.com.  Artfire has a lot of people who make great and beautiful handmade products.   You should check them out.  If you are looking for jewelry, candles, clothes, pictures, cards, photos or just about anything, you will find something you love on artfire.

Today, I am showing some of the people who make the fabulous jewelry you see on artfire.  Some of the people who make jewelry are shadowdogdesigns, bluemorningexpressions, and thesingingbeader just to name a few.

Shadowdogdesigns makes jewelry for just about every occasion.  She has some for the holidays, casual and more formal occasions.  The jewelry Shadowdogdesigns makes are all full of colors.  There is nothing dull in her shop.

She also uses a lot of different types of beads, gems and shapes.  This piece she used Swarovski crystals.  Doesn't it look very bright, cheerful and colorful?

These earrings could be worn to an evening out.  They are gorgeous.

Blue Morning Expressions Mother's day Countdown

Mother's Day gifts

Mother's day is in May and it's not that far off.  Everyone needs to get a great gift for their mother.  Post your handmade items that would be a great mother day gift.  

What I have been up to

I have been working on some new items and trying to get them posted.  There seems to always be more and more that need posting.  I am also having problems describing some of the items.  If you have multiple colors, scents or very similar items, it gets hard to come up with new ways to describe them.

My husband has been working on the basement trying to get his music studio up and running.  In doing so, my work area has been cluttered with everything that came out of the main room of the basement.  So making candles for the time being is out.  A person cannot even make it to the table to where I make my candles.  I am hoping I will be able to get back to making some candles soon.

I have some new molds I am excited about trying out.  They are for votive candles.  I don't know how much they weigh or how tall they are yet.  I won't know until I make some and see what happens.  I can hardly wait.

I have also been making some jewelry with my daughter and listing on my artfire shop (shymouseecrafts.artfire.com).  I also have a supadupa shop (shymouseecrafts.mysupadupa.com) where I have been trying to list some of the items we work on.  It also has a lot of my candles listed also.

Just take a look at these earrings.  Aren't they gorgeous?  They are memory wire hoop earrings with Swarovski crystals.

Here are some dice earrings.  They are made of black, white and red dice beads.  Perfect for someone who likes to play dice.

New Items

I finally got all the new items listed in my artfire shop.  Ok, I think I have them all listed.  There may have been one or two that were missed.  I had so many of them to list, I couldn't keep track of them.

I have listed some more candles and key chains.  The candles I listed were some tarts, container candle and some pillar candles.  They all have the beautiful and strong golden rose scent.  They are also a very nice yellow color.  It is very bright, very hard to miss.

The key chains that were listed were mostly a brass color.  There are a few that are not brass color.  Some of them are pink, purple, red and have silver in them.  They are all gorgeous.

Upcoming items.

Tonight I just listed a few zipper pulls.  They are handmade and beautiful.  Stop by my shop and take a look.  Tomorrow, I will have some more to list.

I also have a few candles to list.  There are some container candles, tarts/melts and some pillar candles.  They have a strong golden rose scent.  This is perfect for the upcoming spring.  These amazing candles have that nice fresh, clean scent of fresh picked roses the first thing in the morning.  They are also a very nice bright yellow color just like a golden rose would look like.

Visit my artfire shop, shymouseecrafts.artfire.com, several times over the next few days.  I have a bunch of items to list.  Now is a perfect time to get ready for spring and summer with these strongly scented candles and the gorgeous and colorful zipper pulls.

I may even have a few other items my daughter and I created.  She wanted to venture out into making other items besides zipper pulls.  We will see what happens.

Hearts and Roses

Valentines day is only a few days away.  Nothing says I love you more than red hearts and beautiful roses.  You can list any item that is a anything to do with hearts and roses.  This can be a color, an item, a scent, anything.  Use your imagination.

Spring Colors

I know some places are still buried in snow or expected to get some snow in the next few days, but I thought having a post where you can post your cheery Spring colors would be a great way to brighten and warm things up.  Spring is not really that far away.  Now is the time to get ready for Spring.

Crafting with daughter

My daughter wanted to do some crafting with me and I thought it was not a good idea for her to work with the hot wax to make candles.  I took a beading class and crimping class at Michaels.  I also watched a lot of videos on Youtube.  I think I gained more information and learned a lot more from Youtube than I did at Michaels.  

My daughter and I started out making some zipper pulls together.  Some are listed on my artfire page, shymouseecrafts.artfire.com.  Now she is more interested in making other pieces of jewelry.  So far, we have made some earrings, bracelets and necklaces.  I admit some of them are fairly basic while some are a little more elaborate.  My daughter will pick out the colors or we both will, then she will string them on the wire and I will crimp the beads and create the loops.  Some of these earrings will end up on my artfire page.  My daughter has already asked me to list them for her.  She wants to make some money to get a dog, lizard, frog, snake, and a few other animals (before you ask, yes she loves these kinds of animals).  I figured this is a good way to teach her about money and spend some time with her.  Ok, I admit, I'm doing it to spend more time with her.  :  )

After Christmas Sales

A lot of people are probably having after Christmas sales to clear out some of their Christmas stock or just clear out stock for the upcoming seasons.  Please list your sales/items here.  I will then post it on facebook, twitter and pinterest.

New tart molds

A few days ago, I purchased some more tart/melt molds. One mold was of pumpkins, which would be good for Halloween or Thanksgiving. I am thinking of making a few pumpkin tarts and seeing how they turn out. I think they will look gorgeous and of course the scent will be strong like in my other tarts and candles. I'm a little excited and anxious to make these.

The next mold I got was of skulls. I know, this is really a Halloween mold and it's no longer Halloween. These would be great for next year though. It will also give me time to think of something really original to do with them.

Another mold I got was of fingers and bones. One idea I had for this for next year was to somehow make the finger have "blood" dripping down it like you see in the stores around Halloween for some of the decorations. This may be something really interesting.

The last mold I purchased was of roses. This is to replace one of my molds that met an unfortunate accident. A very strong rose scent is destined for these beautiful rose tarts/melts. Since I have a few different rose scents and rose mixtures, I don't know which one it will be yet.

Red and Green Items

Since it is getting close to Christmas, I thought having a place where you can post your red and green items would be a good idea. It doesn't matter how much red or green you have in the item. You can post as many items as you want. This will help you get more exposure and hopefully, more sales.

New Fall/Christmas Items

I know a lot of people are posting new items for the upcoming fall and Christmas seasons.  List those items here.

Any item listed here, will be listed on my facebook page, pinterest, wanelo and twitter.  This is a great way to get some more exposure and maybe a few more sales.  

Brown, red, orange, yellow

Post any item that has a brown, red, orange or yellow color.  These colors are usually associated with the fall.  Since it won't be long before the fall season is upon us, I thought  there should be a place where people can post their fall items.

Upcoming Holidays

There are a lot of holidays that are coming up.  You have Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and a bunch of others.

List any item for any of the upcoming holidays.  This would be a good chance to get your items out there for any gift giving.

Ready for Fall

Post your items here that has something to do with Fall such as color, theme, design, etc.

What is posted on my blog, I will post on facebook, twitter, pinterest, wanelo and svpply.

I hope a lot of people take advantage of this and gets some sales.

Shop update

I have been working on my artfire shop and on my supadupa shop as well.

My artfire shop has a lot of new candles. I have been working on the captions, descriptions, pictures, etc. I think I have improved on some of them, but have a lot more to do.

I have also been promoting my artfire shop on facebook, svpply, wanelo, pinterest and twitter. I have gotten a lot more views since I have been doing this. I am hoping these views will lead to a sale. I am also working on more items to add to my artfire shop. I have a few things in the works and have been trying to get them down to where I like them and they pass the test. Instead of candles though, these will be items I have sewn.

On my supadupa shop, I have added some new items a few weeks ago and have been working on trying to get more added. I just want to change the descriptions on these items so they are not close to the descriptions on my artfire shop. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. There are a lot of same items on both shop. I haven't really promoted my supadupa shop yet. There are a lot more items I want to add.

I am thinking of adding some clearance items or items that I experimented with on my supadupa shop.

I am hoping working on both shops will improve my sales.
